As most of you know, with the guidance of both the board of Youth-Reach Houston and the board of Youth-Reach Gulf Coast, we have been progressing through a 10-year succession plan since 2020. We are currently well into year eight, and the process has been amazingly smooth. Much of this can be attributed to the wisdom and experience of Dr. Dave Robinson, who has been walking with us through this transition since we started. His guidance has been priceless.
At this point in the progression, David Williams, who will be succeeding our Founder and Executive Director, Curt Williams, is spending more and more time in Houston connecting with more of you. Curt and David have been making the rounds as Curt connects David to pastors, business leaders, donors, vendors and sponsors.
As part of this initiative, we are holding home receptions around the city of Houston where you can come meet David and hear both David and Curt share the future vision of Youth-Reach. Our first reception was held on the evening of June 9 in the home of Irvin and Phyllis Clark in the Atascocita area. These receptions are a relaxed and informal way for you to hear firsthand from both our founder and our future leader. We hope you will plan to attend one of these upcoming receptions:
