Stage Two Home Exterior

Curt WilliamsBy Curt Williams, Founder & Executive Director

It is always exciting to envision positive change, and that is just what we are doing as we prepare for a major renovation of our Stage Two home. Through a targeted grant from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation (the foundation arm of Woodforest National Bank) and an unexpected gift through a family bequest, we have all the needed funds to do a first-class job on this well-used home.

Stage Two Home Interior

Originally built in 1972, this home was never intended for the use (and abuse) that we have put it through. It has served as the home for nine boys at a time and overnight staff and it is definitely in need of a facelift. Updates will include the removal of a wall, a new kitchen, the renovation of both bathrooms, all new flooring and fresh paint inside and out. Here you can see some “before” pictures, and as the project moves on, we will be sharing pics and updates of the work in progress. We want this home to be warm and inviting—a place of peace and healing—for the future boys the Lord will entrust to us.

We would like to thank the family who gave the generous gift, and the board of the Woodforest Charitable Foundation for their help to meet this need. We cannot wait to see the transformed environment and welcome new kids into this home for years to come.
