Looking to Give Back
On May 14, many of the boys of Youth-Reach Houston once again participated in the Northshore Rotary Crawfish Boil & Catfish Fry, helping with the catfish breading process. It is also likely that they ate their weight in catfish and crawfish.
Since 1987, the Northshore Rotary Club has been an active and generous supporter of the work and mission of Youth-Reach. The club members, both individually and as a group, have come together to meet many needs that we have faced over the years. They have done service projects, built the structure that covers our basketball court, provided pork and beef from area auctions and have been a resource that has connected Youth-Reach to solutions for many years.
Once a year the members of this club host a tremendous event where they hold a live and silent auction and fry a mess of catfish and a tremendous number of crawfish. The public supports this event, which raises money for programs like Youth-Reach, so it is the least that we can do to help club members with the participation of our staff and boys. We are deeply grateful to the Northshore Rotary for their many years of support and encouragement.
