Recently, the Channelview Ministry Team (CMT) held their monthly meeting at Youth-Reach Houston. Almost ten years ago, this group of area pastors, business leaders, community leaders and members of law enforcement came together to address the needs and concerns of the Channelview area and surrounding communities. These individuals are from every major denomination and every race and creed, yet share a beautiful fellowship that springs from the mandate to care for the poor, to pray for those in need, and to provide tangible help to those facing crises.
This group has been instrumental during storms, has worked with law enforcement to address the issue of homelessness in the community, has rewarded improving students with new bicycles, and has assisted first responders on the northeast side of Houston. The CMT is currently preparing to be a trained and equipped vanguard group in the event of another emergency, storm or crisis of any kind.
Youth-Reach is honored to be associated with this group, who as normal behavior, puts aside doctrinal or social differences to live out the Gospel message to the community.
